Lead, Concrete and Water are ballasts commonly used in the marine industry; each has serious drawbacks which have been well documented.

With up to twice the density of concrete, Perma Ballast® can provide a significantly lower center of gravity.
Compared to concrete, Perma Ballast® is relatively simple and inexpensive to remove.
Because Perma Ballast® isn’t rigid, it is capable of absorbing collision forces much better than concrete.
